Job Title: Legal Assistance Scheme Adviser
Salary: c. £45k (Dependant on Skills and Experience)
Location: Stoneleigh, Warwickshire with agile working
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract Type: 6-month Fixed Term Contract
The National Farmers’ Union (NFU) is the biggest farming organisation in the UK. Sitting with the Legal department, the Legal Assistance team offers financial assistance towards legal and other professional fees incurred by members, and provides professional guidance to them when they are experiencing legal problems. Responsibilities:
As a Legal Assistance Scheme Adviser, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert legal and technical guidance to members of our Legal Board. You will manage your own diverse caseload while actively promoting the scheme within your assigned regions or counties. Your responsibilities will include reviewing individual and group applications for assistance and awarding financial support in accordance with the scheme’s rules. You will work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team of four advisers and a manager, overseeing case audits, monitoring progress, and coordinating with NFU Legal Panel Firms to ensure high standards of service delivery.
