Description:
Catalyst Law, a woman-owned and B-Corp-certified law firm, needs an experienced Legal Assistant to add value to our expanding team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a minimum of two years of experience in a support capacity within a legal practice focused on Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration.
As a Legal Assistant, you will:
- Serve as an initial point of contact for both new and returning clients
- Collaborate with the team to meet and exceed client expectations
- Establish strong relationships with clients spanning various age groups and backgrounds

Your meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to precise and timely information gathering, document preparation, and project coordination will be highly valued in this role. This in-office position is primarily located in King City, with occasional days in the Pearl District office. The salary for this role ranges from $26 to $32 per hour.Compensation:
$26 - $32 hourlyResponsibilities:
- Manage client relationships by ensuring consistent and effective communication both internally and externally throughout the entire process, from drafting engagement letters for new clients to closing client files after each matter is concluded
- Coordinate client meetings and monitor internal workflow to guarantee that all assigned casework is completed within the set timeframes and budget constraints
- Oversee and organize docketing for court, administrative, and other deadlines to avoid missing any crucial dates
- Create draft documents, such as court pleadings, briefs, and motions, utilizing document automation software to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Submit court documents electronically to streamline the filing process
- Handle various administrative tasks as necessary to maintain operational efficiency within the firm
Qualifications:
- Experience supporting attorneys and paralegals in an Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Administration practice, or general experience in a law office environment
- Excellent and concise writing skills are essential
- Proficiency in using firm software tools and willingness to learn new tools like document automation software is a must
- Enjoys identifying opportunities to enhance the client experience and implementing improvements
- Able to communicate effectively with clients and team members, adjusting communication style as needed
- A high school diploma is required; a two-year degree with paralegal certification is preferred, while a Bachelor’s degree is a plus
