We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant - Estate Planning and Probate for our Myrtle Beach, SC office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting with client intake
  • Preparing documents and files for client meetings and filing with the Court
  • Scanning, making copies, mailings, collecting information to process and request checks
  • Document Management, filing and analysis for estate planning and probate cases
  • Filing, file management, both electronic and paper, opening and closing files
  • Assisting with collections and processing payments
  • Providing support to Paralegals and Attorneys as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Candidates should have the following skills and/or attributes:

  • Stable employment history
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Keen attention to detail and organization
  • Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Team member who participates in shared office duties and requirements
  • Experience working in a law firm, preferred but not required
  • Professional demeanor, excellent communication and computer skills
  • Knowledge of court and administrative hearing rules and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc…) and other legal software applications
  • Must be flexible with the ability to handle a large caseload in a fast-paced environment
