Description:
- To receive claims filed against local Government entities pursuant to Law Concerning Government Claims, make sure that such claims meet the requirements for their acceptance and complete internal procedures approved by the Department in this regard.
- To draft notifications of statement of claims for the defendant Government entities including the most important points of dispute and requests claimed against Government entities.
- To consider claims, documents of such claims and legal responses received by the defendant Government entities and deliberate with the relevant work team to determine the legal position of the parties of claim.
- To participate with the relevant work team in the amicable settlement of the dispute and propose solutions and suggestions to settle the dispute amicably pursuant to the procedures approved by the Department in this regard.
- To draft final legal opinion memoranda concerning claims filed against Government entities.
- To prepare legal and procedural compliance report concerning claims filed against the Government entities.
- To provide the work team with administrative support, when necessary, to ensure the completion of duties with the required accuracy and quality.
- To participate in listing strategic and operational performance indicators of the Section.
- To contribute to suggestions concerning areas of improvement and development of the work procedures of the Section.
- To fulfill any other duties assigned to them by the Head of Section or the Director of Directorate.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in law or its equivalent in law.
- (0-2) years of experience in legal work.
- To be aware of legislation in force in the Emirate of Dubai.
- Legal analysis skills.
- Sound legal drafting skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- The ability to work as one team and deal with workload.
- Computer literacy.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
