Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team in Melbourne. This role will support a number of solicitors at varying levels who specialise in a broad range of defendant insurance areas. Duties of this role will include:

  • file management – opening/closing files and filing/e-filing;
  • monthly billing and reporting;
  • adhering to client service standards;
  • drafting correspondence;
  • client liaison;
  • brief preparation;
  • diary and travel management including booking appointments; and
  • general PA and secretarial support.

This role will suit a candidate with the following:

  • previous experience in defendant insurance litigation desirable;
  • experience using precedent, billing and file management programs;
  • enthusiastic and proactive approach to work;
  • strong communication skills; and
  • ability to build strong internal relationships
