Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Law Clerk / Legal Assistant to support our legal team at our new Kitchener office. This part-time position offers an excellent opportunity to grow with our firm and gain valuable experience in a supportive and professional environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court processes, and document preparation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and draft legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and compile supporting documents for cases.
  • Manage client files and ensure timely updates and accurate record-keeping.
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel professionally.
  • Assist with scheduling court dates, meetings, and deadlines.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and office management tasks.
  • Provide general support to lawyers and other team members as required.
