Description:
We’re seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to support our growing legal team. The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, and conduct legal research. $50,000 - $90,000 + with performance bonusResponsibilities:
- Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings
- Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits
- Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible
- Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues
- Handle a Real Estate Transaction From Start to Finish using E Closing. Ideal Candidate will have eClosing experience and be able to work independently on a real Estate Transaction dealing with Banks, Real Estate Agents, buyers, sellers, and lenders
- Ideal Client will be from a general practice background and will have the ability to handle a Divorce and Family law matter from intake through discovery, to trial and judgment
- Perfect candidate will know Estate Planning and be comfortable using Wealth Counsel to handle both a Will and Trust Based Estate Plan from start to finish
- Looking for a paralegal with experience in Real Estate Law who is looking to branch out into an additional area of the law
Qualifications:
- Must have great time-management skills, and organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
- Strong preference for candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have an advanced paralegal education
- Must know eClosing
