Description:

Physician Affiliate Group of New York, P.C. (PAGNY), a multispecialty medical practice group, staffs several municipal hospitals and clinics within New York City through an affiliation agreement with NYC Health + Hospitals. PAGNYs corporate staff provides administrative, practice management and human resources services in support of its more than 3000 clinical providers.
Under the supervision of General Counsel, the Legal Assistant provides a wide range of support to the legal department. The Legal Assistant is expected to complete all work with a high level of workmanship and quality and contribute to a respectful and collaborative work environment.

  • Organize and maintain corporate records, correspondence, vendor contracts and other legal department documents
  • Assist in contract management process for vendor contracts including tracking, finalizing and coordinating signatures
  • Assist in corporate filings and applications
  • Track legal vendor invoice fees and payments
  • Track, manage, and assist outside counsel with pending litigation matters
  • Attend meetings and take minutes
  • Support General Counsel with administrative matters
  • Manage attorneys calendars, schedules, and appointments
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.
  • 5 days per week on site required.
  • Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of significant in-house corporate experience, preferably in healthcare, hospital administration or large medical practice required
  • Paralegal experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to deal with confidential information on a daily basis
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Positive and proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ideal candidate will be a quick study; detail- oriented; work well under pressure and able to juggle multiple priorities; have excellent interpersonal, speaking and writing skills. Looking for someone to take a hands-on role within a small but dynamic legal department.
