Description:
We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team in Bethesda, Maryland. This role is essential in the legal field, offering a unique opportunity to work closely with attorneys and clients. Your tasks will primarily involve litigation support, case management, and client relations.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation and filing of legal documents using Aderant and Adobe Acrobat.
- Utilizing the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for case tracking.
- Operating Case Management Software for the organization and management of legal cases.
- Employing CompuLaw for effective calendar management and scheduling.
- Handling billing functions accurately, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date.
- Ensuring effective calendar management for attorneys and other legal staff.
- Administering claim processes, from initiation to resolution.
- Building and maintaining strong client relations, serving as a key point of contact.
- Facilitating effective communication within the team, with clients, and other stakeholders.
- Assisting in the organization and management of legal documents and records.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or related role.
- Proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), and CompuLaw.
- Experience with case management software and billing functions.
- Proven ability to manage calendars and administer claims effectively.
- Strong client relations and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, organized, and able to work independently and in a team.
- Legal authorization to work in the country is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in law or related field is preferred.
