Description:

AS A LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE ASSOCIATE, YOU WILL BE PART OF THE LEGAL TEAM MANAGING LEGAL,CORPORATE SECRETARIAL MATTERS FOR ORIENT FUTURES SINGAPORE INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Provide support and advice to all internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters;
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a variety of commercial agreements including third party agreements, services agreements, IT procurement, employment, consultancy agreements, and transaction-related agreements;
  • Manage and maintain company policies, procedures, and standards related to legal and compliance matters;
  • Maintain the compliance plan to monitor compliance with internal policies, and external legislation and regulations
  • Track and perform impact assessments on legal and regulatory changes in Singapore and provide regulatory updates to affected business units;
  • Conduct internal compliance reviews and assessments and prepare regular compliance reports to management;
  • Analyse and review trade surveillance reports;
  • Draft and file correspondences with the regulator and exchanges;
  • Coordinate, draft, maintain, and assist with corporate secretarial matters such as the company’s constitution, board resolutions, and annual regulatory filings; and
  • Work with external counsels and consultants on legal and compliance matters (where necessary).

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree from a recognised university or relevant legal or compliance professional qualifications.
  • Admission to the Bar in at least one legal jurisdiction would be an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in regulatory compliance roles within the financial services industry would be an added advantage.
  • Being bilingual in English and Mandarin would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure with attention to detail
