Job Advert Description
Working as an Legal Cashier you will ensure the firm complies with the Solicitors Regulatory Authority, and in particular Rule 2.5 of the Solicitors Accounts Rules. This role is a 12 month fixed term contract, full time and based at any of our UK Offices. Your key responsibilities will include:
- To assist the Client Accounting Manager, Client Cashier Supervisor and fee earners to ensure residual balances in the UK are returned to clients promptly on completion of the matter to comply with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.
- Run the firms Client Balances Report and update client balances to show reason why funds held.
- To promote the firm’s internal cashiering regulations and the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules requirements.
- Analysis of client account transactions and balances using internal filing systems and Elite 3e practice management system.
- Liaising with the Billing team to arrange credit notes, re-issue of invoices and other matter ledger adjustments
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Client account cashiering experience
- Good knowledge of the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules
- Experience in working on and reviewing client matter files
