PineBridge is seeking a highly motivated newly qualified up to one-year qualified solicitor or equivalent to join its EMEA legal team. The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of work under the guidance and supervision of more senior colleagues.
The role will combine assisting with commercial contracts, data protection, corporate support, fund distribution and anti-money laundering / KYC.
We are looking for an individual who wants technical expertise in asset management, has a distinct pro-active can-do mentality and exhibits a commercial outcome-focused approach.

Assist their senior colleagues in the daily legal activities with supervision and guidance readily available.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Reviewing and negotiating documentation relating to fund distribution arrangements including platforms, distributors and rebate agreements.
  • Reviewing and negotiating third-party service provider agreements.
  • Reviewing and negotiating ancillary commercial contracts and legal documents such as non-disclosure agreements or power of attorneys.
  • Providing legal and corporate support to the various EMEA entities within PineBridge group of companies such as board documentation and corporate restructuring projects.
  • Assisting with RFPs for investment management opportunities and regular DDQs for existing mandates.
  • Participating in the data protection workstream with a view in time to take the lead
  • Developing and maintaining in-house templates, internal processes and the EMEA legal archive.
  • Care and maintenance and ongoing support of legacy investment funds.
  • Helping other members of the EMEA legal Team with workloads and assisting with other workstreams.
  • Working closely with the Client Service and Compliance teams.
  • Assistance with trading arrangements.
  • Assisting with UBO registers and filings.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Lawyer in England & Wales or equivalent jurisdiction with strong academics (minimum 2.1 or equivalent).
  • Self-motivated, positive mental attitude, growth mindset and proactive.
  • Detail focused with a commercial approach.
  • Strong collaborative working style with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required to build constructive working relationships with various internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrable legal experience in investment management, either with a leading funds practice or in-house at an asset management firm, is desirable.
