WHAT WE DO AT BLYKALLA

Blykalla is a Swedish deep-tech company at the forefront of the nuclear industry, pioneering the development of small modular reactors that provide clean, safe, and reliable energy. Thanks to lead-cooling, we achieve high safety in a very compact format, allowing for a simple and cost-effective design that can be mass-produced. Our unique reactor design will provide safe and green baseload energy that perfectly complements solar and wind power.
As we revolutionise the energy landscape, we understand the paramount importance of legal frameworks and regulations in our rapidly-evolving industry. We’re seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and driven Legal Counsel to join our team and support our Head of Legal & Regulatory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 3 years of experience as a legal counsel or corporate lawyer, preferably in the energy sector
• Fluent in Swedish and English, with excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English
• Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with investment or fundraising activities, negotiating contracts
• Experience in Nuclear operation and/or export control is a plus
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, particularly in the energy sector
• Collaborate with various departments to support business objectives and mitigate legal risks
• Stay updated on changes in legislation and industry standards
• Involvement in fundraising activities and procurement
  You will report to the Head of Legal & Regulatory.
