ABOUT THE ROLE:

For a 1-year maternity leave coverage, we are seeking a proactive, practical, customer-centric attorney who will partner with the business to enable achievement of business objectives in a compliant manner and in accordance with our company values. This position will provide legal and compliance advice for the sales and marketing teams as well as the functions in Poland and the Czech Republic in a variety of areas including commercial contracts, public procurement, compliance, health care provider interactions, marketing, employment matters, competition law, and data privacy. You will also have the opportunity to partner regularly with senior leadership in the countries within your remit and to get involved in regional and global projects.
This is a hybrid role working on site in BSC’s Warsaw HUB office on 3 days a week and remotely the rest of the time. This position will report into the Legal Director for the Central Western Cluster.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Advise the businesses and country leaders on day-to-day matters and provide straight-forward, practical, solution-oriented guidance and risk assessments;
  • Support the business in structuring commercial contracts, tenders, channel partner arrangements and service agreements;
  • Partner with Global Compliance and our local Compliance Specialists to drive our Compliance Program within the geographies represented;
  • Provide legal support to central functions, such as Regulatory or Quality, and participate in special projects or region-wide initiatives;
  • Collaborate with other members of the Global Legal Department and participate in global consistency and efficiency initiatives;
  • Develop efficient legal processes and templates that appropriately mitigate risk for innovative business and commercial deal models;
  • Raise business clients’ knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations including public procurement, anti-trust, GDPR and MedTech Compliance rules through delivering trainings to business team members;
  • Consult with Human Resources and outside counsel on employment matters;
  • Manage outside counsel.
