Your tasks

The Legal Counsel Electronics will play a key role within Allegion International’s legal team, managing and advising on a wide range of general legal matters, primarily supporting our Electronics business unit (namely our brands Interflex and SimonsVoss).

  • Providing pro-active & business-oriented advice in connection with commercial, employment, corporate and M&A, regulatory, risk management, dispute resolution and contract management matters.
  • Commercial contract drafting, negotiation, review and interpretation.
  • Support to ensure EU regulatory compliance, including information and cyber security compliance, ensuring management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies and that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company’s Standards of Conduct.
  • Manage product and commercial litigation matters, including retaining and managing outside counsel and making recommendations to management regarding case strategy and settlement. Advice on labor and employment issues, including managing outside counsel and making recommendations to management regarding strategy and handling of matters.

Your profile

  • Your base: European Master of Laws degree. German qualified lawyer. Relevant post-qualification experience in legal matters, ideally gained in a lawfirm or in-house counsel role; including relevant international legal experience.
  • Your language skills: Fluent in German & English and desirable Dutch; additional languages are a plus.
  • Your hard skills: Proven experience in business law; strong business curiosity.

ICT, IP, data protection, technology experience a plus.

Business-oriented approach to problem solving, tempered by an appreciation for legal complexity and risk.

  • Your soft skills: Collaborative and proactive nature, team player.Excellent communications and negotiation skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to stand firm on issues with business clients when necessary.Superior legal and analytical skills – excellent judgment and initiative in selecting the most effective solutions.Detail-oriented and resourceful with excellent follow-through skills.
