Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We currently have an opportunity for a lawyer to join our legal team as a Legal Counsel.
You will provide advice to our Consumer Finance stakeholders to support the delivery of products including credit cards and personal loans. You may also support, payments, online banking, mobile app, complimentary credit card insurance and marketing for these products. This role also supports the development of new products in these areas and digital distribution of our products.
The main challenge of the role will be to ensure that the Consumer Finance Domain is getting simpler and more customer and banker focussed whilst still meeting legal and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with a supportive team of talented lawyers to ensure stakeholders receive timely legal support to deliver great outcomes for NAB and its customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide subject matter expertise and legal counsel to the Consumer Finance domain in accordance with the priorities set by the Executive, White Label Partnerships and Unsecured Lending Consumer Finance domain, Personal Bank.
- Ensure that the Consumer Finance domain is getting simpler, and more customer and banker focussed whilst meeting legal and regulatory requirements.
- Balance legal requirements with simplicity and automation.
- Ensure that expert legal support is available to the Consumer Finance domain.
- On occasion, this role may be asked to provide legal advice to the Home Ownership domain.
