Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to help deliver, manage and support legal work required at a Legal Counsel level of ability within dentsu across EMEA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing legal advice to stakeholders at various levels of the organisation on relevant subjects to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and the protection of dentsu’s commercial interests.
  • Drafting, negotiating and advising on a range of commercial agreements.
  • Delivering adequate legal support (templates, advice, risk management, subject matter knowledge) to accelerate and underpin the expansion of company strategy.
  • Providing legal support on various matters to commercial teams in contractual negotiations to achieve the most advantageous and/or beneficial legal and commercial terms for dentsu.
  • Assisting in developing and delivering training and legal risk management initiatives to senior management in managing legal risks (e.g. business training, legal updates, etc).
  • Helping to implement best-practices in compliance, contracts management, intellectual property, data protection, IT, litigation and/or M&A (having regard to the Legal Counsel’s specialist area).
  • Assisting with delivering cost-effective handling of existing litigation and disputes to protect dentsu’s best interests, including timely and accurate reporting.

Qualifications + Skills

  • Qualification to practice law; NQ to 3 years’ PQE
  • Industry / commercial contracting experience
  • Experience and knowledge of key legal principles relating to specialist areas of law.
  • Experience in risk management and helping manage compliance programmes, including the drafting of policies and procedures and training.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance.
