We are looking for Legal Counsel passionate about the IT sector and navigating the evolving landscape of AI and data. As a publicly listed company with a significant international footprint, we offer an unique opportunity to work in an international setting and with local and international clients from diverse sectors. You will be closely involved in Siili’s business operations, providing legal insight directly impacting our strategic decisions and day-to-day activities.
Siili Legal is a small team of two, and you will work in close co-operation with and report to Siili’s General Counsel. In your day-to-day work you will mainly support Siili’s business units, sales team, staffing team and delivery teams in variety of questions relating to client and other commercial contracts and data protection. You will also get the opportunity to partake in developing Siili’s best practices and compliance in various regulatory matters and coordinate cooperation with external legal advisors.
The position is fixed term parental leave substitute (minimum of 10 months), starting preferrably in early December 2024.
OTHER EXPERIENCE WE VALUE AND WOULD LOVE TO HEAR MORE ABOUT:
- Experience from the IT sector.
- Experience in data protection matters.
- Understanding and experience in regulatory requirements around AI and data.
- Corporate governance and securities markets regulation.
- Any other relevant experience you consider valuable for Siili.

Responsibilities:
- Ability to draft and negotiate commercial contracts together with our business partners (preferably 3+ years of experience in commercial contracts).
- Basic understanding of data protection.
- Keen interest in the IT sector and related regulatory frameworks (e.g. AI Act, Data Act).
- Fluent Finnish and English language. Our company language is English, but we have a significant footprint in the public sector, and therefore ability to work in Finnish is required
