Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a remote position.
A well-established operator specializing in online casino, currently seeking an outstanding Legal Counsel to join the rapidly growing team in Malta (or remotely). Direct gaming industry experience is a must; candidates with no prior gaming experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support to management, draft and negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Analyze laws and case law, and monitor legal developments impacting the business.
- Identify, mitigate, and manage legal risks through policies, procedures, and compliance oversight.
- Support corporate governance, manage legal entities, and prepare board resolutions and minutes.
- Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and protect intellectual property rights.
- Liaise with the Compliance team and regulatory bodies, and handle inquiries and investigations.
REQUIREMENTS
- JD degree from an accredited law school with 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in online gaming
- strong focus on legal/ regulatory compliance in the regulated and pre regulated gambling industry
- Proficiency in legal research, negotiation, and using legal databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- High ethics, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Effective collaboration with senior management and business units, while capable of working independently and committed to continuous professional development.
