For our client, a global leader in innovative products and services that collaborates with many globally renowned brands in various sectors to enhance their offerings, we are currently looking for an experienced Legal Counsel. In this exciting role you will work together with a small team, overseeing multiple markets in Europe.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As Legal Counsel within the legal department, you will report directly to the Regional General Counsel. In this role, you will manage European legal matters and primarily serve as a legal advisor for contract management, compliance issues, and dispute resolution. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary legal contact for various business functions (Sales, Procurement, Sustainability) and operational plants by providing precise, sound, and practical legal and contractual advice. This includes consulting on complex legal issues and the implications of business initiatives, as well as supporting strategic legal matters.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of agreements (e.g., Supply and Services Agreements, T&Cs, NDAs, Cooperation Agreements) and other legal documents (e.g., policies, legal directives).
- Ensuring compliance by monitoring legal and regulatory developments in Europe, determining, and implementing appropriate legal actions to mitigate compliance risks and regulations, and collaborating closely with the corporate compliance team on business and regulatory compliance matters.
- Leading negotiations as well as legal and cross-functional projects.
- Conducting internal training on legal, regulatory, and contractual aspects.
- Regularly engaging in cross-border and international matters.
- Managing external counsel and litigation processes.
