Job Summary: The Legal Counsel at Nexxiot is responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice and support across various aspects of the business. This role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing contracts, and offering strategic legal guidance to support the company’s operations and growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in law (bachelor’s or master’s degree), preferably with a Swiss license to practice law.
  • Several years of professional experience as a corporate lawyer or as a lawyer in a law firm.
  • High customer and service orientation as well as a high level of commitment, independence, and quick comprehension skills.
  • Solution-oriented and entrepreneurial personality with persuasive power.
  • Fluent in English and German.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely counsel to executives on a wide range of legal topics, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Offer legal guidance on business decisions and contract negotiations to safeguard the company’s interests.
  • Provide independent and comprehensive advice to all divisions (domestic and international) in their day-to-day operations and projects.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties (suppliers, customers, external counsel etc.), creating relations of trust.
  • Research and evaluate potential risk factors associated with business decisions and operations.
  • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with management.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
  • Support in out-of-court legal disputes and manage external lawyers.
  • Draft, review, and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights are protected.
  • Ensure that all legal documents are clear, enforceable, and reflect the company’s best interests.
  • Oversee the management and administration of all contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of alterations in legislation and ensure the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Advise on compliance with data privacy and data protection laws, ensuring the company’s practices align with legal requirements.
  • Draft and implement governance guidelines and policies to promote best practices within the company.
