JOB DESCRIPTION
Graymont is seeking a bright and motivated lawyer with five to seven years of experience to join its experienced in-house legal team, working in a hybrid arrangement with time split between the Company’s head office in Richmond, BC and at home. This is a fixed-term, 12-month position to provide parental leave coverage, with the possibility for extension.
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, North America, this role covers a broad range of corporate commercial matters including procurement, construction, leases and land purchases, supply, sales, acquisitions, financings, and intellectual property. In addition, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to provide legal and strategic support to project teams and assist with the risk assessment of relationships with the Company’s stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills and have a practical, results-oriented approach combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience practising at a top tier law firm, combined with previous in-house experience, would make you the ideal candidate.
