REQUIREMENTS

  • English law qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate.
  • At least 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience in private practice.
  • Experience of reviewing and negotiating SaaS and/or data licensing contracts.
  • Keen commercial awareness and ability to provide actionable advice.
  • Excellent people skills with an ability to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Sound and practical judgment in managing legal risks.
  • The ability to work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident and clear communicator.

Responsibilities:

ROLE

Our in-house Legal Department is looking to hire a full time English law qualified Legal Counsel to work in London.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Negotiate and draft commercial agreements including customer and vendor agreements.
  • Provide practical legal and strategic advice on a range of UK and international legal matters including employment, intellectual property, media, M&A, privacy, and dispute resolution.
  • Build relationships with the Commercial team and other key stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Continuously learn about our business, services and technology. Develop and maintain expertise in current legal issues relevant to our business, such as those relating to artificial intelligence.
  • Drive and contribute to legal projects, including improving our legal operations as we scale.
