We are now looking for a new professional
Legal Counsel
to provide support businesses and leadership in various HR legal matters, develop internal processes, and participate in various projects.
In this role, you will contribute and provide legal advice and take the relevant measures in a broad range of personnel related legal matters. Your role would cover answering and advising in day-to-day questions on collective agreements and legislation and people policy matters, up to wider projects such assisting in business transformation projects. Moreover, you will be training internal experts, management and supervisors and may participate in collective agreement negotiations. As part of wider People organization, you would take part in developing our people processes.
You will be part of Posti People legal & reward team, reporting to Vice President Anssi Heiliö. While Posti lawyers’ focus is on business support, we have a culture of and established practices for transparent information sharing, collegial discussions and clear targets in the team. To succeed in this position, we hope that you have:
- Extensive legal experience in HR legal matters based on work as an in-house counsel and (or) at a reputable law firm. In-depth knowledge on Finnish legislation is mandatory requirement, knowledge of Swedish legislation is considered as advantage
- Master of Laws degree in Finland or Sweden and relevant experience of +3 years
- Experience in employment related dispute resolution, due diligence and transaction projects are considered as advantage
- Ability to take ownership and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus on the right priorities and right timing
- Willingness to learn new skills and new substance areas
- Cooperation skills like a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent Finnish and English skills. Swedish would be a great asset, and also any other language skill is considered as advantage.
