Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sacyr is looking to hire Legal Counsel to join our legal team. You will be supporting our company in all legal matters concerning Concessions and Infrastructure.
You will also be asked to file pleadings with court clerks and help prepare for trials by organizing exhibits and assisting with other tasks as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Academic Training: Law at leading universities in Mexico.
  • It is valuable to have a master’s degree in Corporate Legal Advice.
  • Good level of English.
  • Experience should be around 5 years.
  • Experience in a leading law firm in commercial law and/or litigation matters.
  • Experience as Legal Counsel in companies related to the infrastructure sector.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (English & Spanish)
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive documents and have exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.
  • Office administration experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing affidavits, legal correspondence and other documents.
  • Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system.
  • Monitoring and strategy to follow in litigation.
  • Corporate control of the group companies (Minutes, corporate books, corporate agreements, coordination of Notaries and Public Registries)
  • Resolution of legal queries, contractual review (Contracts related to infrastructure, NDAs, Joint Ventures)
  • Legal risk analysis, and management of external offices (fee control and strategy/scope definition).Meeting with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to talk about case details.
  • Filing pleadings with court clerk.
  • Helping prepare for trial by organizing exhibits and assisting with other tasks as needed.
  • Preparing briefs, wills, contracts, real estate closing statements, pleadings, appeals, and other legal documents.
  • Investigating facts and laws of cases and searching public records and other resources to prepare cases and determine causes of action.
