Description:
Responsibilities :
- Provide legal and compliance advice and recommendations to the company on strategic and operational matters to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Analyze regulatory changes in the industry and assess their impact on the digital currency sector, updating business strategies accordingly.
- Draft or review company contracts and internal control documents to ensure compliance with laws and regulations and protect company interests.
- Lead or assist in due diligence and legal documentation for major transactions such as mergers and acquisitions.
- Assist in handling regulatory reviews and investigations, maintain good communication with regulatory agencies, and address regulatory matters promptly.
- Assist in handling legal litigation matters involving the company, representing the company in legal proceedings.
- Monitor global developments and legal trends in the digital currency industry, providing regular reports and recommendations.
- Responsible for corporate architecture at the group level, making architectural adjustments in response to industry and business needs.
- Communicate and liaise with external lawyers and other legal professionals.
Qualifications :
- At least qualified in either civil law or common law systems, with preference for practicing lawyer qualification, especially with Singapore lawyer qualification.
- Minimum of three years of legal practice experience in the digital currency, blockchain, or financial technology sectors.
- Familiarity with financial regulatory laws in Singapore and legal regulations in the digital currency industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external teams.
- Good time management and organizational skills, able to handle emergencies effectively.
- Deep understanding and interest in digital currency and blockchain technology, able to comprehend related technologies and business models.
