WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking a Legal Graduate to join our legal team. As a Legal graduate you will provide law graduate/paralegal services and administrative support to Americas legal team in relation to contract review and management, litigation and professional indemnity claim activities, compliance and corporate matters, for the Americas business.
This position is also part of our graduate program, allowing you to gain experience in the entire legal process at GHD across different markets. The graduate program is conducted in English alongside colleagues from other GHD offices in the United States and Canada, so advanced English proficiency is crucial to successfully complete this professional growth cycle.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of law degree - Licenciado en Ciencias Jurídicas: Egresado con examen de grado aprobado.
- Between 0 and 2 years of work experience.
- Internship in progress or in the process of obtaining a degree.
- Advanced English: Advanced level of English (mandatory).
- Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
- Interest and willingness to learn about the engineering, construction, environmental, and labor law industries.
- Specific knowledge: Knowledge in corporate, commercial, and contract law (Civil and Commercial Law).

Responsibilities:
- Undertake contract reviews of “standard non-complex” client contracts for standard risk projects
- Undertake an initial contract review of contracts for higher risk projects and clients
- Support legal team in preparing contract guides for master services agreements and other key client agreements for the MSA/Framework Agreement portal database
- Support legal team in managing claim matters, including professional liability claims
- Review and redraft standard GHD contracts for compliance with updated laws (such as unfair contract terms legislation)
- Provide paralegal and administrative support in managing specific legal projects (such as parliamentary inquiries, assistance in review of project for variation and extension of time claim issues, investigation of workplace and integrity matters)
- Assist and participate in internal and client meetings.
- Manage internal platforms: Be responsible for the use of the company’s internal platforms (EPONA).
