Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our legal and finance teams in diverse areas of law, risk and insurance:
  • Preparing, editing, and proof-reading legal administrative documents and correspondence such as: commercial contracts, leases, notices, letters etc. to support the legal team in a variety of practice areas including corporate, labour & employment, and litigation.
  • Managing coordination of contracting process from initial communications to execution;
  • Maintaining organization of contracts, leases, insurance documents, and other company documents;
  • Managing and tracking the company’s e-billing system for legal invoices
  • Managing and tracking the companies’ regulatory, renewal, transfer and closure processes;
  • Coordinating information and insurance documentation between company business units and insurers/insurance brokers (ie. certificates of insurance, incident reports, loss runs, vehicle and fleet information, renewal documentation etc.)
  • Supporting company with insurance program renewals;
  • Learning and developing an understanding of company’s insurance portfolio;
  • Summarizing and synthesizing information received from insurers and brokers;
  • Communicating with and collecting information from internal/external stakeholders, third parties, regulatory bodies and other authorities to take an active role in managing mandates and projects;
  • Perform searches namely on various corporate or online databases, including Corporate Registrar, Corporation Canada and other corporate registries.
