Description:

PalmPay is a Pan-African fintech company currently operating in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania and expanding to other markets this year. We are reinventing the payments experience by making it easy and reliable for everyone to transfer money, pay bills and shop online.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law. A Master’s degree in Business & Commercial Law and other relevant certifications will be advantageous.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience, with at least 3 years in a legal managerial role in the banking and fin-tech industry, particularly in reviewing and drafting commercial contracts.
  • Core experience in reviewing and drafting SLAs with banks, switches, micro-finance banks, OFIs, etc.
  • Excellence in negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercial, corporate, and financial laws.
  • Core experience in corporate governance practices.
  • Sound knowledge of commercial, corporate, and financial laws.
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic approach to risk assessment and management.
  • Proficiency in legal research and Microsoft Office Suite.
