THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for acquiring a comprehensive understanding of Commonwealth contract policies and evaluating current contracts to ensure adherence to these policies for effective administration and compliance. You will oversee the execution of contract agreements and act as the main contact and intermediary between Office of Chief Counsel (OCC) attorneys and both internal and external clients throughout the entire contract lifecycle. A key aspect of your role will involve formulating policies and procedures for contract processing, including internal review mechanisms. You will also identify and address inefficiencies in operational practices related to contract negotiation, execution, and maintenance, providing formal written recommendations and implementing approved changes to enhance efficiency. Additionally, you will establish, revise, and enforce procedures for the storage of contract documentation, manage files, and ensure proper record retention. You will maintain the OCC’s electronic contract tracking database and create checklists, flowcharts, and other resources to facilitate contract development and processing.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Two years of varied office management or staff work within a public or private legal office.
