Description:

JOB OVERVIEW

We are a rapidly growing Family Law firm seeking an experienced and highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Office Manager to oversee our legal operations.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as a legal office manager, preferably at a family law firm, possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach in training development and clerical duties while maintaining a professional office environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least two (2) years of experience in a managerial role within a legal setting or similar environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience in HR is an asset.
  • Proficient in clerical duties, including filing, document preparation, and office management.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management within a legal context.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for legal inquiries, demonstrating excellent communication with clients and staff.
  • Manage daily legal operations, ensuring compliance with LSO requirements.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff on legal compliance and office procedures.
  • Invoicing and billing.
  • Staff payroll and remittances.
  • Monthly reconciliations.
  • Hiring of new staff.
  • Intake meetings and coordination of consultations.
  • Maintain files , ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date and that files are opened and closed, as needed.
  • Oversee budgeting for legal expenses, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Provide clerical support as needed, including drafting correspondence and preparing legal documents.
  • Utilize QuickBooks for tracking expenses related to legal operations.
