Your key responsibilities- Undertake the assessment of employment screening applications, including by: - reviewing file information and identifying and requesting further information if required.- applying relevant legislative knowledge and legal experience to conduct a risk assessment in the best interests of children and young people.- obtaining oral submissions from applicants if required and accurately recording the content.- conducting an in-depth analysis of file information to determine the sufficiency of evidence to support a recommendation. Prepare correspondence and other documents as required for internal and external stakeholders in relation to the screening provisions of the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.- Writing recommendations with respect to the eligibility of applicants to hold a blue card which reflect reasoning and application of the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.- Case manage files to ensure appropriate prioritization and the efficient and timely conduct of matters.- Conduct relevant research and maintain an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of the relevant governing legislation.- Provide advice to internal stakeholders on legislative, procedural and/or administrative matters in relation to the screening provisions of the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.- Provide information to external stakeholders in response to enquiries relating to the screening provisions of the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.- Undertake other duties as required relating to the requirements of the operational area.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License
