Description:
We are DJAGOur purpose: Through enabling a fair and just society we make a positive difference to the lives of Queenslanders through the important and challenging work we do.About the role: A specialist project team that has been created in DJAG’s Strategic Policy and Legislation to develop the policy and legislative response to the recommendations for reforms to Queensland’s guardianship system arising from the Disability Royal Commission. The Legal Officer provides advice on justice policy issues and develops options, policies, strategies and initiatives in relation to justice policy issues, including the development of legislation. You will be part of one of teams in Strategic Policy and Legislation. This role is focused on providing advice and developing options, policies, strategies and initiatives in response to the recommendations for reform to Queensland’s guardianship system in the Final Report of the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability (Disability Royal Commission Final Report).
