Description:

Our Group General Counsel’s office within Macquarie’s Legal and Governance Group supports both our Group General Counsel and the Leadership Team globally. The Group General Counsel’s Office is responsible for the both the Group’s core business and legal operations, and the development and execution of our strategies.
We are focused on enhancing the ability of our central and business unit lawyers and governance professionals to deliver outstanding client service through our management of key Group initiatives, platforms, and resources.

What role will you play?
As Legal Operations Administrator you will provide effective administrative and operational support, and have oversight of the legal e-billing system, support invoice management, assist with payment processes, and act as a point of contact for billing related issues, among other responsibilities.
In alignment with Macquarie’s Risk Management Framework and internal policies, you will act as an advisor to various teams on supplier governance activities, including identifying risk associated with third party suppliers.

What you offer

  • 3+ years’ of experience in a similar role, within a law firm or in-house legal team
  • Previous billing experience necessary
  • Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite such as Excel and Powerpoint, with the ability to collate, analyse and visualise data effectively
  • Confidence working across different technology platforms, aptitude and mindset to learn about these new platforms as they arise
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and navigate conflicting requirements to effectively manage and deliver results
  • Ability to work autonomously with exceptional attention to detail
