Overview:
McGuireWoods LLP is seeking a Legal Practice Assistant to join our Pittsburgh office. The Practice Assistant will support partners with legal and administrative tasks to include preparing various documents, calendaring, time entry/billing, meeting/conference scheduling and other special projects. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, demonstrate a keen attention to detail, and will be service and team oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage attorneys’ calendars, coordinate meetings, schedule conference rooms, and makes travel arrangements as required.
  • Handle conflicts requests and the opening of new matters.
  • Prepare, edit and format legal documents.
  • Prepare expense reimbursements, time entries and handle various billing matters.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 2-5 years of experience in a legal environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Elite/Intapp (or other comparable time and billing software).
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Keen attention to detail with the ability to meticulously format and edit legal documents and correspondence.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing environment/demands.
