Description:
Adcocks Solicitors is a long established law firm based in Lichfield providing legal advice in commercial and residential property, wills, trusts, probate, family and the niche area of leasehold property law. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Manager to join the firm’s senior team and work closely with the Directors to deliver the strategic vision of the firm for the future.
The full time role would suit an experienced manager with great ambition, excellent time management and organisational skills and a passion for business development. This is a role with excellent opportunities and a chance to make a difference.
Job Title: Practice Manager
Reporting to: The Directors
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:15pm
Salary: Commensurate with experience

Employing close to 20 staff, the firm can trace its roots back to 1910 when Leonard Hedley Adcock started in business as a general practitioner in West Bromwich. Now a specialist practice undertaking mainly property work, the firm is well known for its Leasehold reform and enfranchisement work

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
You will be required to manage the firm in liaison with the Directors to ensure the successful operation of the firm, the offices, and our staff as a key part of the senior management team. You will play a leading role in delivering the future development of the firm, modernise its service delivery and oversee the general efficiency of the firm. You will have responsibility to varying degrees for finance, compliance, HR, marketing , business development, procurement, complaint handling, facilities management and project management throughout the practice. A working knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Solicitors Code of Conduct is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Management of day to day operation of the business and ensure its smooth operation.
- Ensure compliance with the policies and procedures as set out in our Practice Manual by all members of staff and ensure the Practice Manual is maintained and updated.
- Circulation of monthly financial reports to Directors and fee earners
- Assist the Directors in the implementation of the Firm’s strategic plans.
- Monitoring the firm’s IT requirements and managing upgrades and security provided by an external IT company Organise and attend Directors and Departmental meetings and preparation of minutes and agendas for them.
- Manage HR issues, staff inductions and support the Partners in staff recruitment including conducting interviews,and drafting employment contracts, salary reviews and bonuses.
- Support the Partners in staff appraisals.
- Assist with monitoring and ensuring regulatory compliance including the renewal of practising certificates.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors, developing effective relationships and ensuring good value and service.
- Manage renewals of business and professional insurances and CQS re-accreditation.
- Organise staff training
