Kah Lawyers is one of Western Sydney’s leading boutique Immigration law firms and is based in Parramatta CBD. Our principal lawyer is an accredited specialist in Immigration Law and has over 30 years’ experience.
Our firm provides legal advice in all immigration matters including partner, employer sponsored, independent, skilled, family and refugee visas, cancellations and complex matters including AAT and Federal Court work.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic receptionist /administrative officer to join our busy practice. This is a flexible full time/part time position for the right candidate. Law students/graduates will only be considered if they have completed administrative/migration law.
This will be a varied and busy position working alongside friendly co-workers. Must be able to work a minimum of 4 days per week. Business hours will be 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2 years’ legal experience in a reception and administration role
- Ability to think on your feet and use own initiative to troubleshoot issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-presented and punctual
- A professional phone manner
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise
- Strong attention to detail, demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn
- Experience with using Microsoft suites, Migration Manager, and LEAP is an advantage
- Second language is an advantage
Remuneration is commensurate with experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
Responsibilities:
- Meeting and greeting clients
- General reception, collecting payments and administration duties
- Upkeep of staff amenities and meeting rooms
- Assist the solicitors with administration tasks like opening/creating files, photocopying, scanning, sorting and collating documents
- Liaising with clients over the phone and email enquiries especially via our website and social media platforms
- Making appointments and online booking management
- Collection of mail from the post office and posting mail
- Receipting payments for our Accounts Department
- Running occasional errands (e.g., banking)
- Create engaging content for various channels including blogs, newsletters, social media, and the firm’s website to inform and attract potential clients
