Description:
Duties & Responsibilities: Under general supervision, the Enforcement Division secretary performs general secretary duties including typing of correspondences, WC-24’S, Consent Orders and other documents with a high degree of accuracy; maintains assigned case files and diary systems; inputs statistical data; communicates with case parties and the general public in a service-oriented, friendly, and professional manner; screens and processes telephone calls (heavy volume) and written communications; manages multiple tasks; assists with the collection of Board assessed penalties; maintains attendance reports and leave grids for the Enforcement Division; processes and assigns incoming complaints concerning non-compliance issues; researches NCCI database for coverage information; performs other duties to assist the Division Director, Deputy Division Director and others as assigned; and performs all tasks and duties in a fast, efficient, and timely manner.
Minimum Training & Experience: 2-5 years legal assistant/secretary experience, preferably Workers’ Compensation; Organized, detail oriented & self-motivated; Heavy case management experience; Excellent written & verbal skills; Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills, including ease communicating with co-workers; Must be a customer service-oriented individual, including ease with communicating with the public in person, electronically, and on the telephone.
