Bowles Rice is an established, well respected law firm in the region that recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. We are looking for an experienced, motivated individual to join our team. We have offices throughout West Virginia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, and are actively seeking a Legal Secretary in our Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, office Real Estate Group who wants to join a firm that encourages, continuing education, innovative thinking and fresh ideas.
This position will involve performing file management tasks, real estate post-closing disbursement and file organization, along with interacting with attorneys, title agents, lenders, real estate agents, buyers and sellers. Additional duties include drafting letters, research and general office responsibilities.
Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills; typing, proofreading, and organizational skills; computer skills; attention to detail, as well as the ability to convey information effectively; and work efficiently with a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multi-task, provide excellent customer service and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) is required. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team, learn new skills and retain information. Must be able to pass all background screening, including criminal.
A broad-based knowledge of commercial and residential real estate matters, including but not limited to real estate software experience and preparation of title commitments and policies, is preferred.
