Description:
Humphries Kirk LLP is a well-established and progressive law firm in the Southwest, with around 180 highly skilled staff and Partners, servicing a varied client base locally, nationally and beyond from 7 offices in the Dorset/Somerset area.
Due to continued workloads, we are seeking to recruit an additional team member to support our Land Lawyers,based at our Bournemouth office. This role is office based with no opportunity for remote working.
ABOUT YOU:
Ideally we are seeking someone with previous experience in a similar secretarial/ Paralegal/legal support role with good overall knowledge of conveyancing procedures from instruction to post completion and fast and accurate typing skills. However, consideration will also be given to legal secretarial candidates who are seeking to transfer their skills into Land from another area of law or candidates with the relevant transferable secretarial skills who are seeking to train into a legal support role within a Law firm. This is a busy role, where there is a need to work to specific timescales, therefore you must be well-organised, deadline focused yet unflappable.
This may be a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are seeking the next step towards a fee earning Paralegal role or The role may also appeal to recent graduates with some previous admin experience who are seeking an entry into Law.
Responsibilities:
The role will be to provide comprehensive support to our Residential Land Lawyers, to assist them with their large and varied caseload, and to help them in proactively progressing their matter files (within the boundaries of the role). The role is varied, and you will be working alongside other support staff. Duties will include preparation and presentation of documents, typing, inputting information into the case management system (SOS), processing of bills, dealing with regulatory compliance as well as general administration such as booking client appointments and managing diaries.
