We currently have an opportunity for a Legal Secretary to join our Workplace team in Sydney supporting multiple partners.

About the team and the work

  • The Workplace team in Sydney consists of 4 partners and a team of 20 lawyers and is part of one of the largest national Workplace teams
  • You will support a dynamic team of lawyers who act for both private and public sector clients in relation to workplace health and safety incidents, workplace and incident investigations, prosecution proceedings, heavy vehicle national law and transport safety, inquests, employment, and industrial relations matters, building safety and commercial litigation in relation to building and construction disputes
  • You will work collaboratively in a team environment with additional administrative team members, whilst using robust processes and excellent software systems
  • Your duties will include client management, client reporting, file management, coordinating meetings and diaries, end of month billing, court filing, preparation and collation of court documents and briefs to counsel and other varied administrative tasks
  • You will be supported with structured training, development, and feedback with genuine opportunities to progress your career.

About you

  • You will have 1-3 years’ experience as a legal assistant or secretary
  • Organised, diligent and have good communication skills
  • Ability to commit to full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm
