Okta is seeking a Legal Technology Specialist to join our Legal Operations Team, reporting to the Director Legal Systems and Technology to support Okta’s Legal technology. In this role, you will be an integral member of the Legal Team, supporting existing technology, initiatives, and roadmaps with an eye towards increasing efficiency and effectiveness. You will have the opportunity to provide business support and improve processes, tools, and technologies while working cross-functionally with Legal, Business Technology, Finance, and Procurement. You will collaborate with third party vendors and internal stakeholders to plan and implement innovative technologies while keeping business technology counterparts in the loop to drive the development of world-class legal technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Support the portfolio of tools, applications, and systems used by the Legal Team, including contract lifecycle management, eBilling, eDiscovery, workflow automation, compliance tools and systems and serve as point of contact for specific systems.
- Assist with and help drive vendor selection, implementation, testing, global rollout, and training for any new tools, applications, or systems in collaboration with system SMEs, Business Technology resources, and trainers.
- Understand existing and upcoming business requirements to identify new tools and enhancements to increase the productivity of the team, including collaborating with legal stakeholders to review manual operations and drive increased automation where possible.
- Work in close collaboration with Okta’s Business Technology team to report technical issues as they arise including escalations.
- Assist with user acceptance testing [UAT] for the tactical changes and large Legal tech projects
- Understand reporting and analytics to work with SMEs to drive data driven decision-making across the Legal Team.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 3+ years of related experience
- Experience with legal applications and process/workflow automation tools.
- Familiarity with Conga and TAP a plus.
- Experience with software and systems troubleshooting.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized and motivated team player, with proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while paying close attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with a broad range of stakeholders, including Sr. executives and business teams preferred.
- Results oriented person with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
