Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.
The Office of the Clerk is seeking a strategic, analytical and collaborative individual for the regular position of Risk and Business Continuity Analyst.
Reporting to the Business Continuity Advisor the Risk and Business Continuity Analyst (Analyst) is a member of the Governance and Corporate Support Team within the Office of the Clerk. The Analyst uses their knowledge and expertise in business continuity and risk management to collect, analyze and report cross-organization corporate information to leadership and support improvements to corporate tools and resources, broadly aiding in the development and implementation of corporate services programs. These programs ensure business priority and mission critical services and processes continue to function or are returned to service as quickly as possible in the event of a business interruption.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be/have:
- Post-secondary education in business administration or a related program, plus at least one year of professional corporate services experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience providing business continuity advice and guidance to client groups.
- Experience facilitating risk assessments or business impact analysis with client groups.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
- Experience in risk analysis and reporting to senior leadership would be considered an asset.
- Certificate or coursework in Business Continuity Planning preferred.
- Experience in a parliamentary or public sector environment would be considered an asset.
