ABOUT THE ROLE
SummitCare are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated Leisure & Lifestyle Officer to work on a part time basis.
This position will be located at our residential aged care facility in Liverpool.
As the Leisure & Lifestyle Officer at SummitCare, you will be responsible for planning and delivering meaningful leisure and lifestyle programs which enable the wellbeing of residents. You will work within a team to ensure that these programs promote optimal health, healthy ageing, and resident choice. You will have a strong customer service focus and tailor programs to meet individual resident needs.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:
- Completed or near completion of a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or Diploma in Health Science, Diversional Therapy, Occupational Therapy or related discipline
- Hold a Current National Police Check
- Experience in a similar role preferably in the aged / health sector will be highly advantageous
- Ability to be creative and innovative & passionate about bringing meaning to resident’s day to day living
- Ability to contribute to the assessment of each resident social, spiritual and emotional needs and design appropriate, individual leisure and lifestyle programs to meet their needs
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
- Well-developed computer skills
- Self-motivation with well-developed organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
