HF’s Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship is delivered by BPP University who have been established for over 40 years developing legal professionals from paralegals through to solicitors. The two-year course will prepare you for life as a Paralegal supporting our industry leading legal departments.
What will you be doing during the Apprenticeship?
You will be assisting Solicitors and Fee Earners with files by producing standard documentation, updating the Firm’s database accordingly and directly communicating with third parties in a professional and effective manner.
You have the opportunity to deal with a caseload of files and assist other solicitors as and when required. You will ensure that clients are confident that their legal affairs are dealt with in a business-like and competent manner and to ensure the efficient operation of the firm.
You will undertake administrative duties to support the efficient running of the team. Here is a breakdown of what your journey will look like;
Responsibilities:
To undertake all administration duties as requested and be prepared to use a high degree of self-management and initiative.
Management and coordination of files and correspondence/documents.
To make and receive telephone calls so as to provide updates of information to relevant parties as required.
To prepare and process correspondence and documents through word processing.
To administer daily post and assist with daily filing of documentation on files.
To ensure that an effective filing system is maintained.
To assist with the dispatch of outgoing correspondence and enclosures.
Conducting legal research.
Progressing to providing support to solicitors as and when required including:
Assisting the solicitors/ fee earners with chasers and post
Updating information on our case management systems as requested
To undertake direct communication with third parties / clients on the telephone in a professional and effective manner
Providing first line support for client queries
Producing standard documentation
Any other duties which will assist the solicitors / fee earners.
