The LFP Battery Specialist is responsible for gathering available knowledge on LFP battery providers, testing LFP batteries and developing control algorithms.
The position reports to CTO and is located at our Porsgrunn Office.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Technology assessment of LFP battery cells
- LFP Battery testing and development of test protocols
- Documentation of test procedures and test results
- LFP Cell Performance and Lifetime Modelling
- Integrating and deploying the models in Corvus model-based applications for control, state estimation, diagnostics, prediction, and optimization
- Assist on developing algorithms for these applications for the LFP cells
- Close collaboration with the systems modeling team within Corvus Energy
- Contributing to research projects and working with leading EU Partners
- Simulation of operational conditions to optimize the performance of Battery Systems
Work Experience and Qualifications
- Engineering Degree in Control Electronics, Cybernetics, Math, Physics or similar (Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or PhD). Other formal education and relevant work experience can be considered.
- Interest in working hands-on with Battery Control Algorithms
- Interest in modeling and programming, preferably experience in Python, C or Matlab
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively prioritize
- Self-motivated and structured, with an eye for both detail and the overall perspective
- High working standard and work capacity
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
- Self-managed and takes initiative
