REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Electrical or Avionics Engineering with 2-5 years of relevant experience OR a minimum of 10 years relevant experience
- Experience providing engineering support for hanger aircraft and live aircraft operations.
- Familiarity with design philosophy of avionics and electrical systems for Boeing or Airbus commercial aircraft preferred
- Should have the ability to analyze incomplete information and implement timely decision making while mitigating risk factors
- Willing to work extra hours when required to resolve AOG issues
- Willing to travel as required to support the various KF bases and customers
- Able to work independently in an office environment
- Experience with MS Office necessary
- AutoCAD experience considered an asset
Responsibilities:
- Be the focal point and respond to requests from maintenance, fleet and customers for technical assistance related to aircraft avionics and electrical systems,
- Provide engineering support as required for disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components in order to restore serviceable status, including assisting with interpretation of the manufacturer’s repair manuals, drawings and other repair instructions,
- Responds to requests from maintenance when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems,
- Research and develop proposals to address issues related to aircraft avionics and electrical systems found during maintenance or modification,
- Liaise with aircraft OEMs, equipment vendors, STC holders and other stakeholders for troubleshooting and the resolution of aircraft discrepancies,
- Participate in the coordination and monitoring of engineering activities including the coordination of internal resources and external engineering service providers in the execution of design change projects for customers. This includes but is not limited to setup of project files, configuration control, progress tracking, change management etc.
