The Library Services Coordinator is responsible for providing support for outreach and library services to all students and faculty. This position will provide support for the Library Makerspace, catalog maintenance, collection inventory, reference services, Interlibrary Loan, and binding services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with providing Makerspace services and instruction to students and faculty.
  • Assists with developing Makerspace programs and outreach to students and faculty.
  • Assists with maintaining Makerspace equipment and inventory of Makerspace supplies.
  • Performs technical and clerical tasks related to the Technical Services department including maintenance of the catalog, processing of materials, and inventory of the book collections.
  • Provide reference services through in person, telephone, and Library Chat.
  • Assist with staffing the Circulation Desk and maintaining the print collections.
  • Assist with providing Interlibrary Loan and digitization services.
  • Assist with binding and lamination services for students, faculty, and campus offices.

Other Responsibilities

  • Work one evening per week and weekend days as assigned.
  • Support other Library services as needed.
  • Serve as an effective team member by collaborating with other Library Staff for problem solving and decision making.

Required Skills

  • Ability to create an approachable atmosphere for patrons who have questions regarding Library resources and services.
  • Ability to assist with supervision of student employees.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrates flexibility to change direction/priorities as needed and to solve problems.
  • Ability work independently and be part of a team.
  • Ability to learn and understand the equipment and software used in the Makerspace.
  • Ability to work with users of different experience levels with Makerspace equipment.
  • Ability to learn and understand cataloging and Interlibrary Loan systems.
  • Ability to learn binding services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Computer skills
  • B.S./B.A. Degree or equivalent experience
