POSITION SUMMARY
Multiple temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study positions available in the Stockton Campus Library.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrates the capacity to work well independently and with others.
- Demonstrates the capacity to be responsible and report to work on time and as scheduled.
- Demonstrates the ability to use computer; type; alphabetize; take/follow directions from a supervisor.
- Demonstrates the ability to interact with library users.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist library patrons at the Circulation Desk and/or study areas.
- Retrieve returned materials from outdoor book drops.
- Shelve and retrieve all types of library materials.
- Use the computerized library system to check materials in and out.
- Assist patrons in the use of library equipment (copy machine, printer, etc.).
- Assist with opening and closing of the library.
- Answer informational, materials-related, and directional queries by phone or in-person.
- Refer patron-driven questions to librarians or staff when appropriate.
- Record statistics.
Other duties as assigned.
