As a Library Technician , you play a vital role in promoting literacy, fostering a love of reading, and supporting students’ academic success. Your responsibilities will include managing library resources, organizing materials, and assisting students and staff with locating information. Additionally, you’ll help maintain the library space, ensuring it’s an inviting and conducive environment for learning and exploration. Once hired, a casual employee can view all internal postings for Term and Continuing positions and has the contractual right to post into vacancies to secure more consistent and/or guaranteed hours.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Grade 12 graduation
Completion of a Library Technician diploma program
Ability to type 45 wpm
Working knowledge of computers
Good knowledge of Business English, punctuation and spelling
Ability to interact with students in an effective manner
